THE CAST

Zena Marie Franklin (Vicki Swanson) is a graduate of Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi with her Bachelor's in Theatre. She moved to Austin and was invited into the Coda family and has been happy ever since. Zena would like to thank the entire Coda Crew for welcoming her with open arms and teaching her things she knows she will never forget. "These are some of the happiest days of my life and some of the most fulfilling. My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer." Zena would also like to announce that this will be her last show as Ms. Franklin. Her next show will be as Mrs. Vaughn.

Zac Crofford (Kennedy Swanson, Production Designer, Lighting Designer) has been having all kinds of fun working with Coda. He was recently seen as the King in Coda's Ondine and Dr. Brockett in Coda's Ugly Maria, two roles that inspired his hot new book, "An Actor Prepares (to sit)". Sedentary skills aside, Zac has been seen in a number of fine (and otherwise) shows and films around Austin and would prefer to be in many more. Call him up, he's got the time.

Cynthia Mance (Lisbeth Swanson). Yet another evacuee from Los Angeles now living in Austin, Cynthia Mance was a longtime member of the award-winning, avante-garde City Garage Theatre in Santa Monica, California. She's also appeared in numerous indie films, and her elbow had a cameo in a Capitol One commercial. Cynthia earned her B.F.A. in Theatre from the University of Florida, and is happy to be in a city where people don't really care about the Oscars.

Cody Hudson (Pizza Guy) has not done theatre in years and his body is telling him he should've kept it that way. Some of his favorite past productions include Ordinary People, The Nerd, Harvey, and Twelfth Night. He really wishes the cast would stop kicking him in the head and stepping on his fingers.

Kate Meehan (Lenore) moved to Austin from Chicago where she worked with Steppenwolf, Bailiwick Repertory Theatre, The Playground, Improv Olympic, and Second City. In town she has worked in a myriad of capacities with the State Theatre, Zachary Scott Theater's Project Interact, Onstage, Tongue and Groove, Sol Fly Productions, A Chick and a Dude, and the Austin Commedia Society for whom she served as Managing and Development Director. She is an active playwright and she frequently teaches mask work, improvisation, Commedia dell'Arte, and stage movement to many different sizes of people. She would like everyone to know that she thinks her mommy and daddy are way rad, and that she loves them more than puppies.

Christopher Loveless (McCartney) was last seen in The House of Yes, produced by Coda. Previous credits include Reefer Madness and Love's Labors Lost for The Bedlam Faction, Ugly Maria for Sol Fly Productions, Romeo and Juliet, Titus Andronicus, Henry V, Merry Wives of Windsor, Twelfth Night, and Julius Caesar for Austin Shakespeare Festival, Did You Say Love? for A Chick and a Dude Productions, and Corpus Christi for Real Rain.

Alex Pippard (Donovan Swanson) is proud to be in his umpteenth performance with The Coda Project. Pas favorite roles include the Chamberlain (Ondine); Sir Andrew (Twelfth Night); Pantalone (Scudi Madness); and his turn as a villanous janitor in Ice Scream, possibly the worst movie ever made. He'd like to dedicate his performance to his family, and to promise them he's not method.

Brent Jenkins (FBI Agent, Ninja, Fight Choreographer) [Biography Unavailable].

Kara Juárez-Jones (FBI Agent, Ninja). Vanilla milkshakes and plain oatmeal cookies with very little ginger make her happy. Thanks God for the little things!

Lisa Scheps (Minerva) was most recently seen as Mrs. Pascal in Coda's The House of Yes. She is Artistic Director of play! Theatre Group and was born and raised in Houston where she trained at the Alley Theatre and Studio 7. At 18 she moved to New York where she worked as an Actor, Stage Manager, and Director and is proud to have created the role of the Camel's Ass in the Broadway production of Oh, Brother! In the late eighties she brought her talents to the business world and began directing and producing for Business Theatre and in 1994 she co-founded Concentrix Corp.

Rebecca Robinson (Ronnie) is thrilled to be working with The Coda Project for the first time. Originally from Indiana, Rebecca has been acting in Texas for the past eight years. She has worked with several Austin theatre companies, most recently appearing in the Best of the Week Fronterafest production of In a GodBox which also debuted at the Dallas Fringe Festival in March. Other recent roles include 'Lee' in Marvin's Room with play! Theatre Group and 'Lil' Bit' in How I Learned to Drive at the Bastrop Opera House. Rebecca's next project will have her dancing in I Love My Dead Gay Son! The Musical running at the Off-Center in June. Special thanks to the great folks at Coda and to Lady Phizzle for being a fellow plate-spinner!

Troy Fortenberry (Cat Burglar, Ninja) moved to Austin six years ago from Houston, fleeing the mosquitoes, smog and Amish assassins. He returns to the stage after a seven-year absence and is thrilled to be part of 9 x 9 x 9. Troy was last onstage at the Strand Street Theatre in Galveston in Sherlock Holmes' Last Case as Inspector Lestrade and has appeared in dozens of shows ranging from Annie to The Crucible. Troy would like to thank his friends for encouraging him in all his artistic endeavors, his family for always being supportive and that club on 6th Street for not pressing charges.

Christopher Broussard (Swami, Ninja, Costume Design) has been a hairdresser in the Austin area for the past 18 years. He has been a hair color specialist for the Loreal Institute and can be located in Westlake through the Human Touch Salon. He is delighted to have had the opportunity to head up the hairstyles and costumes for Ondine, The House of Yes, and now 9 x 9 x 9. This is his first time as part of the cast and he is loving this opportunity.
